Spring is Here!

Spring is here and we have a busy month ahead of us. It looks like the weather is going to make the beach a perfect place to hang out for Spring Break! So come on down! For those of you who wondered, the Strandcam Photo of the Month is our friend Miss Emily, her piano class and parents posing for the camera one sunny day. She is a good customer and supporter of our restaurant. Speaking of kids - make sure you check out Chase and Cameron’s new coloring sheets. Fun Stuff!

We are proud to be a part of some very special functions throughout the year, none better than these two in April. First on Sunday, April 21st we will participate in the 17th Annual "For Our Children" Food and Wine Festival. Come taste some incredible culinary delights from around the South Bay and in doing so help raise money for some great children’s charities. The event goes from 3pm to 7pm in Torrance near Little Company of Mary Hospital, 20911 Earl Street, just North of Torrance Blvd. Call 310-543-6908 or check out our local papers for more information.

Another great fundraiser for kids goes off the next Sunday, April 27, the Richstone Family Center’s 15th Annual Pier-to-Pier Walk. Starting from the Manhattan Beach Pier at 8am and proceeding down the Strand to Hermosa Pier and back to Manhattan is the course. The objective is to raise money for the Center’s on-going Kids' programs. This is a great organization, which Good Stuff has been a proud supporter of for more than 10 years. The great thing about this event is that the money raised is matched by KTLA Charities. Good Job KTLA! I urge you to find out more about this event and Richstone by calling Doris at 310-970-1921x30.

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
Julio

Julio is our do anything, anywhere, honored employee of the month. He is our guy that can work any mealtime and feels comfortable in any of our kitchens.

Julio has been with us since 1994 when he started as a dishwasher, knowing that he wasn’t going to be in that position long. Being the younger brother in Hermosa of our head cook, Manny and our head prep, Tadeo, Julio was taken under their wings and watched closely. At Good Stuff we believe in cross training which is the reason why it is easy for Julio to cook and prep in any of our restaurants. I am sure you can understand why Julio is such a valued employee.
For more on Julio go to page 2.
