Great Start of the New Year

Another year is upon us and the weather has been fantastic! It feels like spring is here making it a perfect time to come down to the beach and enjoy a meal on one of our patios. Wine Wednesdays have been a huge success, thanks to all who have been enjoying 1/2 price wine from our fine wine list. So if you haven’t taken advantage of this great promotion, get down to Manhattan or Redondo and sample some of our fine wines at 1/2 price.

Don’t forget Valentine's Day is just around the corner. We are your affordable dining alternative for this very important holiday. We’ll have specials all day including our "Cupid's Dinners for Two" complete with dessert served in Redondo and Manhattan. Be sure you have a look at our coupon this month for a related Valentine's offer.

We are in the process of preparing our calendar of events for the New Year, so if any of you have a noteworthy event happening in the beach cities email us so we can put it in our calendar.

The last thing I would like to mention is the upcoming 50th Anniversary of the Sand & Strand Run in Hermosa benefiting Project Touch. The folks at Project Touch do some amazing work with preteen, teenage kids and their parents from all walks of life. These are kids that are having trouble adapting and fitting in at school, at home or just in life. So come on down Sunday, Feb. 10th, to Good-Stuff Hermosa. We have been proud sponsors now for many years and are located directly in front of the race. The race itself is a 2.5-mile course that starts on the sand north of the pier and finishes back at the pier on the strand. There will also be a munchkin race, a 5-mile race, and it all starts at 8am. The entry fee is $15 if you pre-register, and you can pick up registration forms at Good Stuff Hermosa. 22 Years of Good Stuff

Even after starting Good Stuff on the Strand 22 years ago, I still get a feeling of being on vacation when I walk up to the restaurant. It could be the ocean breeze, the outdoor dining steps from the sand or the relaxed feeling. Hermosa is one of a kind and now is a perfect time to visit. Parking is ample and the beach is a lot less crowded. It may be a bit chillier than summer, but along with the nip there is a freshness to the air. We are one of the last restaurants in all of L. A. that steps right on the sand. So come on down and join us for breakfast or lunch served daily till 4pm. Get some of the Good Stuff for yourself!


EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

For all of you regulars to Hermosa you’ll certainly recognize this guy. Gary - my dad & partner. My dad has always supported me in any way that he could. He put me through college & put his house on the line so we could open our second restaurant in 1980. In addition to his fulltime job as a Sales Manager in the Electronics' industry, Gary helped out on the weekends in the restaurant. When he retired from his day job he started coming down on more of a regular basis to work. Go to page two for more.
