Good Stuff Golf Classic This Month!

Well the time is now to sign up for the 1st Annual Good Stuff Golf Classic. We are filling fast and expect a full course on May 28th out at Cypress Golf Club. To check out the course click here. A fun time is anticipated (see our recipe of the month on page 3) and we are very excited.

Since this is in honor of my dad, Gary Bennett, he will be out as Honorary Tournament Captain and will start the tournament at high noon. We will have longest drive and closest to the pin as well as a chance to win a 2002 Buick Regal, two golf vacations in Florida and more, compliments of Peninsula Pontiac - GMC - Buick in Torrance. Now that’s just at the course.

After golf we will all head down to Hermosa for dinner, complimentary beer, wine and awards at Good Stuff. Extra tickets for dinner and drinks will be available at the course for $30. We will also have a silent auction with the proceeds going to the National Parkinson Foundation. A sneak preview of the silent auction: great Dodger tickets, golf at Wilshire, PV and Braemar Country Clubs, signed sports memorabilia. and much more.

This is an event you will not want to miss out on. For more info and registration forms click here.

A couple quick things before I finish. First off check out the guys on the cell phones in the Strandcam picture of the month, is this L.A. or what? The last thing is don’t forget this is Mother’s day month - one of the most important holidays of the year! Forget the brunches where you will eat too much and feel miserable - come to Good Stuff instead and we’ll make mom feel special.

Good Stuff - helping to keep our ocean clean.
According to Steve Fleischli, Executive Director, Santa Monica BayKeeper: "It’s undisputed that urban run-off is the greatest polluter of our oceans."
We here at Good Stuff are proud to have been one of the first businesses to get involved with the Adopt-A-Stormdrain program in our beach cities.
Pictured to the right are founder of Adopt-A-Stormdrain, Paul Polizzotto and our Mayor of Redondo Beach, Greg Hill standing in front of our sign on Pacific Coast Highway. Redondo Beach was the first city in the America to get this type of a program into operation. Adopt-A-Stromdrain’s goal is to provide resources to manage the toxic urban runoff that flows into the oceans following rainstorms. Adopt-A-Stormdrain raises funds, through selling signage, to help local governments pay for various runoff mitigation and pollution prevention efforts, such as watershed and storm drain cleaning, parking lot cleanup, and educational outreach programs. Local businesses, cities and the environment all benefit. Now thats Good Stuff!

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
Staci from Redondo

Meet Staci from Redondo. In 1998 when I was working on the buildout in our Redondo restaurant Staci worked at the Coffee Bean. She simply was one of the best employees I had ever witnessed as far as customer service goes. Staci knew everyone’s name and exactly what they ordered. I started to plot how I was going to steal her when we opened.

We were lucky to get her full time just over two years ago. She is our day cashier / hostess and she really takes care of a lot. Not only does she provide the excellent service and attention to our customers, she also handles a lot more on the operation side.

Go to page 2 for more on Staci.
