Richstone’s Mission statement: The Richstone Family Center is dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse, strengthening families and preventing violence in families, schools and communities.
Started by Bea Richstone, 35 years ago in the same location in Hawthorne that she donated to create the center. They were able to purchase the property next door and now have a safe haven for kids of all ages.
Our employees were drawn to the organization for the good work they do with children at the center and also in the area but also the fact that almost 90% of the money raised goes back into the program!
We went for a tour given to us by the executive director, Rolando Ramirez, and saw first hand how the center operates and were able to meet some of the loving and caring counselors working there. Our managers knew that they had donated to a good cause!
